Gobierno financiará agropecuaria con RD$5,000 millones a tasa cero

En su discurso de juramentación, el nuevo presidente de la República, Luis Abinader Corona, dispuso que los agricultores reciban el financiamiento, sin intereses, y a través del Banco Agrícola.

 En un discurso de menos de una hora, dirigido a la nación y ya juramentado como Presidente constitu­cional de República Domi­nicana, Luis Abinader Co­rona anunció que el nuevo Gobierno que inició ayer ejecutará un programa de apoyo al hombre del campo mediante el financiamiento de RD$5,000 millones a ta­sa cero, a través del Banco Agrícola.

“Vamos a disponer, por medio del Banco Agrícola, de 5,000 millones de pesos de financiamiento a tasa de interés cero para la nueva siembra. Y prestará apoyo a la comercialización y asis­tencia técnica para garanti­zar la seguridad alimenta­ria”, dijo Abinader Corona al citar las seis medidas in­mediatas que se adoptarán en el ámbito de la econo­mía.

Ante la Asamblea Nacio­nal, el nuevo mandatario aseguró que trabajará para lograr revertir el impacto de la crisis sanitaria y económi­ca en el país, generada por el coronavirus Covid-19, “en un contexto en el que los niveles de deuda públi­ca habían llegado ya a los lí­mites de la imprudencia, in­cluso ante de la pandemia”.

Sostuvo que la recupe­ración no llegará ni rápida ni fácilmente, pues vendrán muchos meses de sacrificio y disciplina, “pero siempre conservando la esperanza en un porvenir mejor” .

Sumado al apoyo al sector agropecuario, el presiden­te también manifestó su res­paldo al sector turístico, para lo cual anunció que el próxi­mo lunes 24 será presentado el Plan de relanzamiento del Turismo para dar impulso al sector y recuperar la afluen­cia de visitantes previa a la pandemia.

Se dará impulso al Banco de Reservas para que dé prio­ridad a los proyectos del sec­tor turístico, industrial y de exportaciones que creen em­pleo y que se encuentran de­tenidos por la falta de finan­ciamiento, indicó.

De igual modo, serán ex­tendidas las facilidades tri­butarias en especial para las pequeñas y medianas empresas y se implemen­tará un Programa de Ga­rantías y Financiamiento dirigido a los sectores afec­tados por la pandemia por más de RD$100,000 millo­nes.

 Otros proyectos que im­pulsarán la economía con­sisten en el inicio del plan de reparación y construcción de más de 30,000 viviendas pa­ra reactivar las economías lo­cales en todo el país.

Un anuncio importante del mandatario para la re­gión Sur fue la construcción de un nuevo aeropuerto en Pedernales y la construcción de 3,000 habitaciones hote­leras para desarrollo de la de­primida zona, desarrollo que vendrá a la Alianza Público Privada.

En tanto que en el Norte, destacó la construcción de la tan ansiada carretera que va desde Santiago a Puerto Pla­ta, la Autopista del Ámbar, la cual reducirá la distancia 25 minutos y la vía que va des­de Santo Domingo a Puer­to Plata que la disminuirá en dos horas. También destacó que a partir de hoy se acele­rará toda inversión que se en­cuentre paralizada y enfatizó que este es el momento de in­vertir en República Domini­cana.

Deuda desbordada
Abinader Corona dijo que la deuda consolidada de to­do el Estado fue duplicada en la última década, y solo esta semana el déficit había crecido en RD$25,600 mi­llones.

“En el pasado no hubo un aumento del bienestar de los ciudadanos, pero si un aumento de la deuda y de nuestro déficit. Este es el es­cenario al que nos enfrenta­mos. Este es el balance que nos hemos encontrado. Un balance que estamos firme­mente comprometidos a re­vertir”.

Aseguró que pasada la cri­sis este Gobierno adoptará las medidas necesarias para cambiar la trayectoria de la deuda.
